Assignment 3: Dada Poem Animation
Dada visual artists used collage and typography to create artistic compositions. With typography they would create sound poems that had little to do with the actual meanings of words, instead emphasizing the way words visually looked and sounded when spoken. For example, the name of the entire movement, Dada, which is french for hobbyhorse, was picked most likely because of how it sounded; utter nonsense and almost "baby language" sounding. Using Dada sound poems and typography collages as inspiration, students created an animation only using found photos and type. The animation animated a sound poem that the students composed.

Assignment 2: Performance Art Video
Using the Maya space created in the last assignment, 3D Render Stereoscope, as a background or stage students created a video performance art piece. The performances were choreographed to fit within and around the space and objects in this virtual space. Students were inspired by the Performances of the Fluxus Artists.

Assignment 1: 3D Render Stereoscope
Students were asked to find a photo of a space they had actually been in. This photo was used as a reference by the student to recreate that space in the 3D Rendering software Maya. The simulated spaces' images were captured using a virtual Stereo Camera and displayed here as side by side stereographic images.
